An amateur such as yourself can just go to a hardware store and pick up some incandescent clip lights (or any other lights at the store)–they’ll be cheap but they work and get the job done for home video projects.

Would a one buld umbrella light be a good step for some one just starting to get together a light kit? I’m 14 and don’t have much money to spend

I’m looking at upgrading from my Halogen Flood Lights…
And it is great to know that I need to get air-cooled not fan cooled as I’m going to be using it for video recordings.

if people aren`t willing to pay for a professional, would not be surprising if the output is not very professional.
