All Macs are pretty good with graphics, so any will be good. If it doesn’t have to be mobile, then you always get "more bang for your buck" with a desktop. I have the entry level desktop and I manage my photos, home movies and everything else I want to do really well with it. My sister has just bought one with a bit more grunt and I’m jealous, but I’m still doing everything I want to do on mine. If you can afford to get more than the entry level iMac, then it is probably a good idea. Not that these things tend to date too much, but future programs may demand more space, more memory and more processing power.

As far as photo editing, Photoshop is probably the industry best, however if you want just something simple then you can’t beat iPhoto which comes for free with any Mac as part of the iLife suite.

If you want to have some fun, you might consider something like an EyeTV stick that plugs in via USB and lets you watch digital TV on your computer and even record it and save to DVD. (Just a tip – don’t rely on the aerial they give you with that – get a better one!) It isn’t too expensive and it just is so cool!

Seriously, if your husband is into macs, then you really can’t go wrong with whatever you get him.

anything except the mac mini or the macbook air but it depends wat he wants them to do. all of them are pretty good

You should look to getting you husband a imac which is the desktop version of the mac http://www.apple.com/imac/ or the macbook pro http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/ basically all mac computers made today have a built in Nvidia 9400M graphics card that is perfect for photo and video editing
A good photo editing program is iphoto which is already installed on every mac http://www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/
But if your husband is looking for an advance photo editor try apples Aperture program http://www.apple.com/aperture/

I dont really agree with what the previous person mentioned about the Mac Mini or the Macbook Air, both come standard with the same graphics card as all the other macs plus also have core 2 duo processor chips so all macs will work it just depends on what you think your husband will prefer. Go to an apple store close by to check them out your self
