I essentially own the nikon d60 with the a single more 18-55mm lens. It’s my mom’s though I’m meddlesome in guidance how to make use of it, as well as this camera seems similar to the single of the most appropriate from what i’ve read. So i’m seeking for the book or something to learn, though for right away we do not know anything about photography.

Psh, those books tell you nothing!
Just experiment dude, that’s what it’s all about.
You’ll have your own way of taking pictures that’s unique and original. Nothing a book can tell you. Plus, you can find anything you need answers in a book online.
Just let go and experiment man!
Explore your camera options. Picture comes out bad? try again!!!
Eventually you’ll become a great photographer.
If you are talking about learning the technical side of photography, most books would be helpful. I had to read both my manual and a book before either one made sense. The manuals can be much more complicated in language than they need to be. I read an Everything book which was about photography and it explained using the settings and their relationships very clearly.
Even though you own a fine DSLR, you may want to "learn" photography from its inception from a 35mm film background. And there’s no better complete and affordable set of photography books than the 17-volume Time-Life Series on Photography which are currently being offered at ebay.com for around $50.00 total.
Good luck!
