be Artistic and Original. Follow the rules of composition. Like cropping your photos, eliminating distractions, balance the photo, and get a good and creative angle ( go on the ground if it makes a good shot). I'm in Photo 2 and that is how my teacher usually grades us.

Keep your hands steady or get a tripod for your camera.
Take different pics from nature scenes to people.
Color is excellent :) Always.
Black and white is a important color scheme to photograph in.
Remember: Be yourself!! Quirky, edgy, whatever!
I hope I helped :))

Well one of them would be, "You don't take the picture, you make the picture" Ansel Adams.

Second, it's aways a good idea to look at things from a new perspective sometimes the best photos are already around you, you just have to look at things anew.

Some others are, to keep two eyes open when you go to take a photo, that you you can keep focus on what is going on around you. If you want to blur out a background, you can use a zoom lens around perhaps 200mm or higher and zoom into the maximum focal length.

You also might want to look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1Unv6DPJiU

you might want to buy this book as well: http://www.amazon.com/Visual-Poetry-Creative-Engaging-Photographs/dp/0321636821/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1265932907&sr=8-1-spell

Tomorrow I'm giving a speech. And people keep saying "don't f*** up!"

However my advice for photography is yes, do f*** up. You simply are not going to get it perfect the first time you try something. So you have to do it anyway and learn why it didn't come out the way you wanted it to. Then when you try it the next time you'll be that much closer to getting it the way you want it.

Another idea would be to study other types of art. Look at the Duccio and Giotto Madonna and tell me why they are different? So then you can look at your scene and know why it's going to make a work of art or a picture.
