is anybody watching this a food photographer? i’m a photo retoucher and i love to cook so looking to expand my work into food photos.
He is using a Hasselblad 503CWD medium format camera, which basically is the classic 503CW with a 16 megapixel digital back on it.

how does one light up the food and make it really pop? Just wondering. Hmm….
. . . two-dimensional space ? Well, interesting anyway.
I myself am a canon user, but true Hasselblad, Leaf, Phase One digi. backs are going to be superior to Canon and Nikon’s offerings. The 1Ds Mk III and D3 from Nikon have sharpness near the same quality as medium format cameras but the megapixels aren’t quite there.
But if you look at Lara Ferroni she uses a Canon 5D/20D for food photgoraphy, the first time I saw it I thought “wow, she must use a Hassy…it was really encouraging to find out you didn’t have to have a MF camera to do good work.
hasselblad is superior to any 35mm camera simply because of the 6X6 format
